Reality can be scary and beyond understanding. Like it or not, we still live in it.

My name is Yusef Syed. I try to translate reality into something comprehensible.

During my day job, I work as an Intelligence Researcher, currently working for a private consultancy providing daily reporting on the escalation of conflict in the Middle East.

Outside of the office I try to use my camera to document moments of social tension and political significance, freezing in time the change occuring in this turbulent age.

When things are quiet, I turn my camera to the everday, and through my Street Photography, I try to illustrate and reveal moments of beauty and aesthetic hidden in the seemingly mundane.
